In an effort to end this terrible problem in today's society, I would like to welcome those of you who may have been affected by violence or have experience with a loved one who may have been affected. Taking steps together to end this domestic violence and by stopping the predators that prey on our children and women will produce stronger children and women in our future. Please feel free to enter your comments and personal stories here.

Welcome to STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN and CHILDREN
Have you imagined a world without violence?
I have and do on a regular basis. As I watch the growing problem with child abductions, child abuse, battered women and unfortunately, murdered women and children; I pause to ask "why do we continue to see this problem increase in its intensity?" and I pray for a manner in which ceases this growth and reverses the pattern.
We can act by demanding better laws be put into place against these attackers, making a conscious effort to be more alert, and to learn how to fight back. It is our responsibility to fight for improved laws so that we hold these predators and violent attackers to face severe and harsh punishment.
Being a survivor of an attack and having lived in a mentally challenging relationship; I have a real passion for those who are suffering daily and a desire to protect those who are in danger of their spouse, parent or a stranger taking the step of violence against them.
I ask you to share your story, your concerns and your ideas as well as posting any known and valid resources to assist in helping Stop this Violence against Women and Children.
Thank you for blogging with us.

I just heard the news and I know you are glad for all of this to finally be over once and for all!!
ReplyDeleteI am glad that part is over...tomorrow, I go to Conway for the final chapter.
ReplyDeleteOne last testimony - 4 years to life in this terribly tragic story.
So many lives interrupted and lost over one man's decision to con, manipulate & destroy... As it is, he shows no remorse for his actions. They say "brain defect" of which he had no problem dealing his cons; only after he is found out does his brain "malfunction". Convenient, I would say. Tragic for many.
Well, here I am anticipating my day tomorrow in the courtroom where once again, I face Stephen Stanko. It is ironic in life how a decision that one makes can haunt them throughout the course of the rest of their life. I suppose this is my burden to bear and my struggles are few compared to those of whom he ripped life away from their loved ones without any concern for humanity.
ReplyDeleteIn an attempt to help someone; you may just harm yourself. However, I can't say that I wouldn't reach out to help another... I would just trust that God has taken me further to recognize the truth from the lies and to understand we cannot help everyone; especially those who do not choose to help themselves first and to hold honesty & dignity in high regard...as well, to have compassion for human life and our eternal destination being that of God's Will not man's desires...
In the short of things, I will take the stand, do my best to describe my story with grace and dignity and pray for the strength that only God can provide when facing the man who haunts me still...
You will be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow! I will talk with you tomorrow!

ReplyDeleteYou are very brave, take God's hand and he will help lead the way. I am proud of you. As for the jerk's punishment he should get electrocuted brought back to life and electrocuted again!
You will be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow... May God keep you save as you travel...
